Are you ready to go an adventure with Tom Radford from "Eat the Country"?! Tom will be hosting at least two coastal and mountain walks where we explore what the local area has to offer with wild edibles and other uses.
About the wild food foraging experience:
When you look at a wild plant do you know if it is death or dinner? Whether it is
medicine, or food, maybe something that might be used in soap or cosmetics? Do
you know some of the crazy and fascinating folklore surrounding wild plants and
mushrooms, not to mention a lot of dubious misinformation. Come on a walk and
learn about the food growing all around us, knowledge that connects us to the past.
At the same time feel empowered by know what to avoid. Knowledge is power.

There are so many wild plants that can add nutrition and variation to your diet, things
we used to call weeds.
ï‚· Edible plants & Fungi: When you know what is edible you have a larder on
your doorstep that you know his healthy, unprocessed and natural.
ï‚· Medicinal plants: Simple remedies for things like stings, headaches, urinary
infections, even hay fever can be found in most hedgerows.
ï‚· History and folklore: Learn about how our ancestors interpreted and revered
certain plants and fungi, the truth, the myths and the deep connection with
nature.
ï‚· *Simple recipes: Learn one or two simple techniques to cook, eat and drink
wild food. Retreat attendees with have exclusive access to this experience prepping and cooking with Tom at the villa and a journal included -filled with information about plants in the area.
ï‚· Responsible foraging: Learn the rules, how much to forage, where you can
do this, and know that you have rights you may not have realised.
